Model: Jezzibel Bates

"New Dawn" features a full figured woman emerging from a crab shell floating in the sky, among the clouds. In between her breasts is an vertical eyeball. The figure has a ridge down the center of her face that replaces the nose and mouth. Coming out of her back is a set of peacock feather plumes: the tips of those feathers are turning into birds that are flying away in the distance. One could argue that the piece is symbolic of feelings of bravery and freedom, when talking about woman's body issues.
